In this Algebra course, students will learn to effectively evaluate expressions, write equations, graph functions, solve quadratics and understand inequalities. This class will use Introduction to Algebra book from the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) curriculum and will go deeper than the school Algebra curriculum. Books can be found here: https://artofproblemsolving.com/store/book/intro-algebra Note: An assessment test will be conducted prior to the class to help the teacher prepare for the teaching content. Topics in this class include: - Graphing Quadratics - Inequalities - Functions -Graphing functions - Polynomials About the Instructor: Ms. Dunbar is a math teacher for grades 6-9 in the state of Indiana, where she was responsible for designing much of their district math curriculum. Ms. Dunbar has extensive experience teaching math, both in-person and online using a variety of curricula. She is great at breaking down concepts and using technology and games to make math fun and relevant for her students. Dates: 9/17- 12/10 except Thanksgiving week, total 12 classes Day: Sundays Time: 5:45pm PT/8:45pm ET
