Service Description

This 5-6 grade reading and writing class will foster the ability to read a class novel then craft an effective literary analysis essay! Literary analysis is a vital stage in the development of students’ critical thinking skills as it works on both reading and writing skills. This class will teach from annotate literature to writing complete literary analysis essays. Topics such as theme, irony, characterization, plot and conflict, symbolism, imagery, and more are discussed and explored using a variety of middle school level literature. About the Instructor: Ms. Laura is a graduate of George Washington University, Washington, DC where she received a Master of Arts in Education. She has taught English for over 25 years. She has taught grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening to students with varying abilities. Grammar is her passion, as she believes it is the foundation of any language. She is also an accomplished author and have published novels and books.
