Service Description

This social studies class focuses on the time post 1970s and will take a close examine on historical events that shaped today's US and world. Historical events in this time period include US and China established diplomatic relations, fall of Soviet Union, birth of the Internet. Through interdisciplinary lenses including politics, geography, humanities, economics, and law, students will analyze key events and their implications. Small group sessions encourage critical thinking and exploration of diverse viewpoints. This course pairs with our literature course to examine influential literary works within the context of post 1970 history, fostering a comprehensive understanding of this changing era. About the instructor: Professor Brodish has been teaching social studies at the middle and high school level for for over eight years.
