Service Description

This beginning class will focus on the basics of Public Speaking and Debate, each class will start with examples and games provided by the instructor to learn tips that will help students reduce or eliminate communication apprehension. After completing this class, students will have confidence speaking in front of a group and improve their communication skills in a variety of settings. In session I of this course, students will focus on writing and speaking about issues related to the Civil Right Movement and is designed to be paired with our literature or social studies classes on the same topic. About the instructor: Coach Marc has a passion for both policy and debate. Coach marc has Master's degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor's degree in English with minor in film studies. He has 8 years of experience in speech and debate with 4 years coaching experience. Currently he works as Junior High Director of Speech and Debate and provides instruction to junior speech courses rooted in political philosophy, economics, and critical studies. Students of his have gone on to compete on a state, regional and national level and won prizes. Dates: 6/10-7/10 Days: Mondays & Wednesdays Time: 8-8:55 EST | 5-5:55 PST

If there are less than four students enrolled for a class, Boluo School reserves the right to cancel the class. Boluo School strives to provide the best quality service for each student. If a course does not meet your expectations, Boluo School will refund the remaining tuition before the second class. However, notice must be given within the first week of starting a course.
